My name is J.P. O’Hara, and thank you for considering Flow Community Acupuncture. I’ve been a licensed acupuncturist since 2013 and have been serving the Redding community at the same location since 2015.
Outside of the clinic, I’m married to my wonderful wife, Teri, and we welcomed our daughter, Millie Rae, in July 2023. As a family, we love exploring the abundant nature that Northern California has to offer, and fitness is a big part of our lives. I also coach track and field at Shasta College and assist at the high school level. With over two decades of experience in athletics, I bring a deep understanding of body mechanics and recovery into my acupuncture practice.
What I love most about acupuncture and Chinese medicine is the compassion at its core. It allows me to be fully present with my patients and put my heart into every treatment. At my busiest, I’ve provided more than 100 treatments per week, gaining experience with a wide range of conditions—from internal medicine to sports injuries and recovery.
Whether this is your first acupuncture experience or you’ve been coming for years, I’ll meet you with care, compassion, and a commitment to doing my best to support your health.
